Families Waiting To adopt
Laura & Garrett
A little bit about us!
We met in the fall of 2011 at Dominican University in San Rafael, CA. Garrett was a transfer student, and on the first day of class Laura confidently walked up to the “new kid” that she had noticed in her History class and gave him her number.
We began dating after a field trip to the Legion Honor museum in San Francisco in the spring of 2013. We moved in together in May of 2014 and Garrett proposed on Christmas Day 2016. We got married on September 30, 2017 in St. Helena, California and it was the best day ever!!
We had a friendship before we started dating and we think that was monumental to establishing our relationship’s foundation. When we started dating, we knew this was the “real deal” because it was just easy. We didn’t need to try. Loving each other just came so naturally.
We listen to each other, support each other and genuinely want the best for each other (even if that means pushing each other out of their comfort zone)!
About Laura. Laura was born in Westlake Village in Southern California, moved to the Bay Area for school, fell in love with the area and then literally in love with Garrett – and never looked back! She was an only child but didn’t have a conventional idea of family while growing up. Her 4-generation household consisted of her mom, her grandparents and her great grandmother. Because of this upbringing, Laura has always thought that there is no “correct” definition of family. Family is what you make it!
Laura works as a Paralegal for a local law firm in Napa. She loves to cook, travel, read and is constantly searching for her next cup of coffee.
About Garrett. Garrett grew up in the Napa Valley with his mom and dad and 2 brothers. He loves anything to do with sports – specifically he is a diehard San Jose Sharks and San Francisco 49ers fan. He is best friend of our dog, Asher, and on any given weekend you can most definitely find those two out on a long, long walk or hike.
Garrett is a Parks and Recreation Supervisor for the City of Healdsburg where he has been employed for almost 5 years and he loves his job. He is truly living the mantra, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life!”
We have a loving and peaceful home that is just waiting for your child. We promise that we will always honor and celebrate YOU in our family. If it is your wish, we feel it is important that your child knows you and knows that you chose adoption because of the love and care you have for him or her. We will raise your child to know that he or she is bright, beautiful, creative and loved.
We realize that being chosen as your baby’s mom and dad will be the biggest blessing either of us will receive in our lifetimes. Thank you so very much for taking the time to consider us. We hope that we can get to know each other and establish an open relationship that will have lifelong benefits for us all, especially your child. We hope to meet you soon!
