Do you need help during your pregnancy?
In Independent Adoptions, birth parents are entitled to receive financial help with their adoption-related expenses. Typical birth parent budgets include:
- Pre-natal care and delivery costs
- Living expenses like housing, food, transportation, cell phone service and maternity clothes
- Adoption counseling sessions
- Legal fees
Birth parents also may need help coordinating pre-natal appointments, finding affordable housing, connecting with counselors and accessing government services.

Birth parents using California’s private Independent Adoption protocols are entitled to ethical legal representation throughout their adoption process at no cost to them.
